VfL Rhede
VfL Rhede 1920 e. V. is a sports club from Rhede in North Rhine-Westphalia . In addition to the football section, there is also a table tennis section . The club colors are black and white.
The club was founded on April 26, 1920 under the name "Sports and Games Club Rhede". The enthusiasm for football in and around Rhede was enormous at the time, and the club already had 64 active members in the first year it was founded. In 1938, the two still existing sports clubs "Spiel- und Sportverein" and "Turnverein" Rhede merged to form the "Verein für Leibesübungen" (VfL), which offered various sports such as football , gymnastics , athletics and handball . After the Second World War , the two clubs separated again, but the original "Spiel- und Sportverein" retained the name VfL.
