TOBB Ekonomi Ve Teknoloji Universitesi - TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) is a foundation university established in Ankara in 2003 by the Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Education and Culture Foundation, an affiliate of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey[15]. The decision regarding the establishment of the university was published in the official newspaper dated 1 July 2003 and numbered 25155.[16] The biggest difference that distinguishes TOBB ETU from other universities in Turkey is the Joint Education program. The university, which envisages raising individuals with work experience upon graduation thanks to the joint education program,[17] started education in the 2004-2005 academic year with 270 students enrolled in 7 departments in 3 faculties, namely the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. TOBB ETÜ was among the top 5 universities most preferred by students in the first period when it started accepting students.
