Pickwick Records was an American record label and British record distributor known for its budget album releases of sound-alike recordings, bargain bin reissues and repackagings under the brands Design, Bravo (later changing its name to International Award), Hurrah, Grand Prix, and children's records on the Cricket and Happy Time labels.
Pickwick Records was founded in 1950 by Cy Leslie and was initially a distributor of British records in the United States. The label soon began to release its own budget albums, which were typically compilations of songs by popular artists. Pickwick Records also released a number of sound-alike recordings, which were albums of songs that were similar to popular hits, but were performed by different artists.
