The Innovation Alliance Baden-Württemberg (innBW) is an alliance of 12 non-university application-oriented research institutes that is unique in Germany. Together, the institutes offer a comprehensive range of services throughout the entire development process from the idea to market maturity. Its R&D activities are oriented towards the future and growth fields of Baden-Württemberg – digitalization, artificial intelligence & industry 4.0, sustainable mobility, healthcare, resource efficiency & energy transition and sustainable bioeconomy. With over 4,500 company contracts per year and over 500 public research projects, innBW is an important player in the states technology transfer system. As a link between science and industry, innBW brings both sides together and ensures the transfer of findings from basic research into industrial practice.
