In 1970, Correios do Brasil launched two new express services: the Special Document Delivery Service (SEED) and the Grouped Correspondence Service (SERCA). SEED was a document delivery service within 24 hours, while SERCA was a grouped correspondence delivery service within three days.
Correios also launched the first Road Trunk Lines (LTN), which connected the entire country. The LTNs were created to improve postal transportation efficiency and reduce costs.
