Comunidad de Madrid

The Comunidad de Madrid is a Spanishautonomous community located in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Southern Subplateau of the Central Plateau. It borders the provinces of Ávila and Segovia in Castile and León, as well as those of Toledo, Guadalajara and a small part of Cuenca in Castilla-La Mancha. The Community of Madrid is uniprovincial, so there is no deputation. Its capital, Madrid, is also the capital of Spain. The population amounts to 6,751,251 inhabitants (INE 2021) and is mostly concentrated in the metropolitan area of Madrid.
