Astroh GmbH & Co. KG was a German retail company for furniture and furnishing accessories. The focus was on kitchens and electrical appliances .
The company was founded in 1926 and has remained in the family. In 2007 the company had 21 branches in Germany, including in Delmenhorst , Bochum , Elmshorn , Schwelm and Send . Ten of the branches were in North Rhine-Westphalia. It employed 750 people, 240 of them at the headquarters in Bochum.
The head office was in Harpener Feld in Bochum. Boss was the entrepreneur Andreas Astroh. He filed for bankruptcy on November 30, 2007 . The reason given was a drop in sales. Around 2,000 to 3,000 customers nationwide who had paid several thousand euros in advance for ordered kitchens were also affected.
